In Which I Make Things

Part of a gift: a barrette.

Also included in the gift: a matching beeswax candle (it smells wonderful, too).

A collage envelope for the birthday card.

A swatch for a geeky hat.

A giant Reese's peanut butter cup.

A silly hat in progress.

A silly hat completed.

Lots of pizza, with help from the Boy and lessons from the amazing Raven.

Wall decorations with Raven (better pictures on her blog).

A case for my nice new phone (yay Sprint for replacing it).

The beaded thing is a scavenged earring I made a long time ago. The wire to hold the beads was stolen from the spiral notebook I used in high school physics.

And ginger cookies, or what was left.

Very crafty. That swatch for the geeky hat looks like a benzene ring with attached -- ahh -- what looks like hydrogens.

Yay! That's what it's supposed to be. The benzene "ring" symbol is typically a simplification, it's actually 6 carbons with alternating single and double bonds (hence the seeming unevenness of the edges of the hexagon), each with one hydrogen. But it's awesome feedback that it's recognizable, thanks a lot. :)

Everything looks wonderful. The cell phone case is especially awesome.
